Community Supported Agriculture

The idea here is to share some of the ins and outs of our small farm with members of our community. Members sign up in advance for certified organic vegetables, and they take ownership in the successes of our family farm, learn about fresh produce, and ask questions / get to know us along the way.

NOTE: OUR CSA PROGRAM IS FULL! Thanks for your interest.
The farmstand will always be open to the general public seasonally,
and we will be at the Jericho Farmers Market again this year.

2024 DETAILS

This year, we are doing away with boxed weekly shares in favor of a "declining balance" model.

Sign up for a full season share (members pay $450 before April 1 or before we are full for the season) and you will get a credit of $500 to spend on fresh organic produce, however you see fit, during the 2024 season at our self-serve farmstand. That's more than a 10% discount for you as a thank-you for paying upfront, and that initial spring cashflow for us will help offset early season costs.

CSA members will buy a share for the same price as past years, but now, they won’t have to pick up their weekly share at the same time every week. Members will instead use the honor system, just like the general public, at the farmstand, to select whatever vegetables, herbs, and fruits they'd like, and they’ll keep track of their season's credit in a CSA binder. The Boneyard stand is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 8:00-6:00, and it will be open for at least 20 weekends in 2024. If you stopped by over the course of 20 weekends, you could get $25 worth of veggies every time (same size share as years past). If you’re out of town one week, load up the next! Or stuff yourself with tomatoes one week and make pickles another. Swing by Friday morning and then again at the end of the weekend if you forgot something. You can spend your produce dollars however it works for your household, throughout the season.

Our intention is that this new system allows for some more flexibility and works for the busy summer schedule that so many enjoy.

Other perks of CSA membership: updates on your remaining $ credit and recipes emailed to you occasionally throughout the summer. First dibs anytime we have bulk deals or special sales available. Maybe a few on-farm events? Plus, it’s likely that we’ll have some extra spring or fall weekend opportunities at the farmstand, before/after we’re officially open to the public.

IN CASE YOU’RE WONDERING…

Can I spend my CSA credit on other things at the stand?

Members will only be able to use their CSA credit for fresh produce (vegetables, herbs, and fruit) but since our farmstand will be fully open, there will also be available for sale as an add-on: jam, pesto, pickles, eggs, meat (lamb, pork, and by the end of summer, beef!). At our farmstand, we only sell what we produce here ourselves.

Are Boneyard Farm veggies organic?

Yes! Our produce is certified organic by Vermont Organic Farmers. This includes vegetables, herbs, and fruit.

What if we miss the spontaneity and fun of a boxed share?

At least in 2024, this trial year for the new model, if there's a week during which you're really just missing that prepared share vibe, and you'd like the challenge of cooking whatever's in season, you'll be able to email me by midday Thursday and I'll (let you know right away whether or not I can) put together a special $25 "best-of-the-week" share for your household that week to be picked up on Saturday at the stand. This box option will almost always be available, but I reserve the right to respectfully say no, if we're going camping or something, or too many people want in on it all at once. Whenever you'd like, as long as it's available, you'll get an assortment that includes the cream of the crop for the week-- all you'll need to do is ask for it, and I'll put it together for you and subtract $25 from your declining balance.

What can we expect?

We grow a wide variety of market-garden style fresh organic vegetables. Lots of high-quality salad greens, tomatoes, peas, cucumbers, fresh onions, peppers, eggplants, herbs (basil, dill, cilantro, parsley, etc.), sweet corn, new potatoes, carrots, beets, green beans, squash, etc. We also grow some strawberries and melons. We don’t grow a ton of storage crops. You can feel free to check out our social media for drool-worthy pics of our fresh veggies.

Can we pay ahead for credit at the stand in some other increment? Are there other size shares available?

This year, we are only offering this declining balance farmstand credit at the full CSA share amount [pay $450, get $500] this season, in order to keep it simple. But the stand will be open to the public, just like always, and we’ll be at the Jericho Farmers Market every Thursday.

Can I use my CSA credit at the farmers market in Jericho?

Sorry— farmstand only! Keeping it simple. The farmstand is a great destination though— right on the Cambridge/Fletcher town line, just over a mile from the wrong-way bridge on Rte 15. Easy access, self-serve, and it’s a beautiful farm.

How do I sign up?

Email us! We will coordinate payment quickly and directly — check, Venmo, or cash.
